===== Overview ===== This wiki lists some useful miscellaneous information related to the credit card changes in Control 6.0. (Hint: You'll want to read on because we've saved the best news for last!) ===== How Charges are Incurred? ===== With each credit card processing pricing plan available, there is an additional flat fee per transaction. This flat fee charge changes based on the plan that you've selected. To fully understand what actions will incur a fee, we've defined what FreedomPay treats as a transaction. __**What counts as a Transaction?**__ - Pre-Authorizations - Posting Payments: - Capture (making a payment with a new card) - Sale (making a payment with an existing card) - MultiSale (making a payment for multiple orders) - Release (remove pre-authorization) - Voids - Credit Refunds - Order Refunds - Verify (check the validity of a card) - Tokenizing a card - Updating info on a token All questions related to pricing should be directed to your credit card service provider as Cyrious has no record of each individual customer's credit card transactions.

===== Credit Card Readers and Terminals ===== Unlike previous versions of Control, credit card readers and terminals will not populate the HPP when a credit card is swiped. If you are processing credit cards through Control, you can still use a credit card reader but you'll need to enter a manual (non-processed) payment in Control. ===== Credit Card Batch Settlements ===== During the Boarding process with Ed Moore from capital_q, you will specify your batch settlement time. This is the time that your FreedomPay credit card batch will automatically close. These batches are then transmitted to Elavon on the following schedule: * 1:00 AM EST * 2:45 AM EST * 4:00 AM EST * 6:00 AM EST * 9:30 AM EST * 1:30 PM EST Since batch settlements are done automatically by FreedomPay, the option to settle credit cards during the daily closeout process has been removed. That action has also been removed from macros and reports. ===== Level 2 and Level 3 data ===== ===== Password Changes ===== (This is a big one; you may want to sit down for it.) Two changes were made to Control login passwords: - After years of aggravation and resetting your password over and over again, the 90 day password expiration has finally been REMOVED!!! Once you can contain your happiness, feel free to read on. - We've also removed the complexity restrictions so all you need now are 7 characters to create a password. No numbers, no special characters, and no upper-case letters are required.
Rest in peace little exclamation mark. Thanks for always being there when I needed you.
